The Cheapest Zebra Printer Was the Most Expensive One We Ever Bought

What About the Counterargument: "You're Overthinking It"?

Another objection is, "Procurement people love spreadsheets; you're overthinking a printer." Maybe. But I've tracked enough orders to know that the "quick buy" often becomes the "eventual replacement." Let's say you save $500 on the lower-priced model. Six months later you learn the print speed is throttling your packing line. You buy again. Now you're not saving $500; you're spending $500 twice. That's not an opinion.
